Tetraploid Unusual Form
8 inch (with 10 inch wingspan) rose pink blooms have a wide lighter rose pink watermark eyezone and large showy green throat. Petals are accented with a light midrib. 34 inch scapes have 3 way branching and 16 to 20 buds. It is a hard dormant on Long Island but has been semi-evergreen in my zone 8a garden for the past two years. SWEET CHILD OF MINE is a mid-season, repeat bloomer that is both pod and pollen fertile and is the pollen parent to our 2009 introduction SHE'S GOT THE LOOK.
